We are a group of friends who have settled in this beautiful land, “ La Gran Sabana ”, in order to live close the nature. We have 15 years of experience in the business of tourism, working us guides and outfitters for national and international highly recognized tourist agencies. In order to offer services and tours of excellent quality without mediator, we have founded the company “Auka Travel C.A.”. The following is a brief presentation of the people who make up this group:
Roberto Campano, born in the island of Margarita in Venezuela, with 15 years of experience as a bi-lingual guide in adventure trekking, with an ample knowledge in botanic. He also has a Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4 and is owner of the Tavarua Camp in Santa Elena de Uairen.
Doris Borges, born in Caracas, Venezuela, is our guide with extreme energy, she loves extreme sports like scaling, rafting and mountain biking. She can take your up the exotic Tepuy´s (table mountains) of Roraima, Auyan or Chiricayen, which will be one of your most emotional adventure. She has 8 years of experience as a guide in the area and will surprise your with her excellent cooking on a trekking trip.
Carlos Hernández, born in Caracas, Venezuela, better known as Juan. He is a founding member of the company and is in charge of the organization and care of the equipment necessary for the expeditions. You will have the privilege of partaking of his excellent whole grain bread (secret recipe).
Elke Wilken, born in Munich, Germany, and a founding member of the company. She is a tri-lingual guide (English, German and Spanish) with 15 years of experience in all parts of Venezuela. Being a great lover of all nature, she will show you this land of magic enchantment with a special interest which you will always hold in your memory.
Adriana Cabrera, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a founding member of the company, has 15 years in outfitting expedition and preparing itinerates. She is in charge of all logistic, and will insure for your tours the best guides and camps, according to your needs.
